Cynical Girl

Just a girl working through her probelms with scribles and splotches on paper.
I’ve seen frozen too many times to admit.
I relate to Elsa. A lot.
Having a coldness within. One you can’t control. Trying so hard to not let it show, as you’ve been told all your life, until you can’t anymore and it ruins everything. When it comes out and hurts the ones you love. Like your relationship with your sister. Or the rest of the world. So you shut yourself out so that you won’t hurt anyone else. But that doesn’t stop the cold from growing within.
Except I don’t have a magic ability to make ice.
Just depression.

fat-erin:

I am big enough to admit I am often inspired by myself.

After taking this photo I decided to turn it into a drawing.
There was something about it that gave me such strong affirmation, I had to keep it up.
I personally find that drawing yourself is sometimes the best method of self love.
Examining each of your curves- the good, and the bad, and replicating them is a way of teaching yourself to love those parts of you.
(And then I threw in some of Rachele’s of Shame Loss ad inspiration.)

"My writing stems from having wrenched a piece of out of my life, a piece of hurt…into typewritten words on paper…[that in doing so] I am justifying my life, my keen emotion, my feeling, by turning it into print." -Sylvia Plath

I got this lyric from a song I heard on the radio. It was a really happy, upbeat song, but it inspired this.
For me, when it rains, I feel comforted. Like how I feel on the inside finally matches my environment.
I’m only happy when it rains.
